YAMBA Realty Group joins Eview in QLD

Australia’s first multi-brand real estate network, Eview Group, has continued its growth across the Sunshine State, with the company securing its 11th agency in Queensland in just over 12 months.

YAMBA Realty Group is located on Gubbi Gubbi country in Gympie, northwest of Brisbane, and directed by husband and wife team John and Janzey Pratt.

YAMBA Realty Group is set to introduce a fresh new perspective to modern-day real estate operations, creating a multi-purpose space that doubles as an office, to promote community connection and support.

โ€œAs a Yuwibara woman, ‘YAMBA’ is a term we use to describe our ‘house’, ‘camp’, or ‘gathering place’, and for both John and I, it was important that we created an environment where everyone could feel comfortable, as if at home,โ€ Janzey explained.

John added that real estate had been a shared passion for he and Janzey for more than 20 years and the couple had โ€œsold property right across Australia, within all imaginable marketplacesโ€.

Janzey and John owned and operated J & J Pratt Property Services in nearby Caloundra before relocating to Gympie earlier this year.

This contributed to a large and loyal following of valued clients, and an ability to hit a selling record of $15 million (gross), in the past six months.

Now, as the dynamic duo unveil YAMBA Realty Group, John and Janzey are on a mission to create more than just a real estate brand, and want to encourage members of their community to use their space as a place to gather and meet.

With an array of local initiatives designed to bring the community together in a supportive and shared environment, Janzey and John hope YAMBA Realty Group provides a warm, inviting and safe space for friends, family and the community.

โ€œThere’s a lot of positive things that come out of doing what we’re doing but we’re not doing it to be strategic, we’re doing it because it’s just how we roll,โ€ Janzey told Elite Agent.

“It’s pretty much just how I’ve always done real estate.

“When you start a business in a community, you’re part of that community and I just think that businesses are about people.โ€

Janzey has already held discussions with womenโ€™s groups, a local writing group and the Quota Club about using the space, which also includes a community pantry.

“That community pantry just opens up conversations and it can be a safe space,” Janzey said.

“I used to be a police officer many, many moons ago, and domestic violence is a real focus for me, so we donate a portion of our profits back to supporting organisations that assist women and children transitioning out of DV situations.

โ€œI’ve also got a young fella that comes in every morning now, and he has breakfast with me.

โ€œHe stays in the mental health ward in town and he comes in and he’ll grab something out of the community pantry to have for breakfast and I make him a cup of coffee in a keep cup and we just sit and have a yarn.

โ€œOne of the things that people love more than anything is that you just give them your time.โ€

Eview Groupโ€™s Queensland Director Joel Hood said it has been โ€œan absolute delight watching YAMBA Realty Group come to fruition for John and Janzeyโ€.

โ€Their unique, community-focus approach to elevating their established real estate service is an exciting and welcomed addition to the Gympie marketplace,โ€ Mr Hood said.

โ€œDuring initial conversations with potential offices, one important element for us is to confirm their culture and professional values align with ours.

โ€œBoth John and Janzey provide a precise combination of energy, strategy, and an unmatched level of community awareness that will only benefit our growing network of agents.โ€
