Former Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) Business Development Manager Karen Woodworth has joined national real estate network @realty.
Ms Woodworth will assume the role of @realty Business Development Manager, helping to steer the company’s continued growth, following its recent expansion in to Tasmania and the Northern Territory.
@realty director James Taylor said Ms Woodworth was with the REIQ for more than 12 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company.
“Karen is a fantastic talent with an in-depth understanding of the industry, which will help in recruiting more agents to @realty,” he said.
“Her strong focus on client relations and results-driven approach to business will be instrumental in helping @realty to achieve its growth targets over the coming years.
“This year we have achieved the milestone of having agents listed in every state and territory throughout Australia, and we are hoping to follow this with an expansion to New Zealand in due course.
“Karen will be able to harness the power of @realty’s state of the art software platform that has been completely designed by an in-house development team to bring new agents on board.”
Ms Woodworth said while leaving the REIQ was not an easy thing to do, she was impressed by @realty’s growth and potential.
“@realty’s innovative business model is changing the real estate landscape for both agents and vendors,” she said.
“The agents benefit by retaining up to 93 per cent of commission, and the vendors gain access to more affordable, high performance marketing programs.
“I also liked the fact that @realty s focused on strong ethical business practices and ensuring that the clients come first, which made it an easier decision to make the move. I would not have gone anywhere else.”
@realty now has more than 600 agents nationwide and last year sold more than $1.5 billion in real estate.
