Fortis appoints The Agency as lead agent on Pillar+Tide

Fortis has appointed The Agency as lead agent for Pillar+Tide, a boutique luxury development in Brighton, with project sales led by Michael Paproth. The appointment marks the first project between The Agency and Fortis in Brighton.

Mr Paproth’s team has been credited with numerous successful listings of luxury properties in the inner Bayside area, including multimillion dollar sales in the affluent suburbs of St Kilda West, Port Melbourne, and Albert Park.

In 2019, Mr Paproth and his team held the top two sales in St Kilda West, the fourth highest sale in St Kilda and four of the top 10 highest sales in Port Melbourne.

The Agency is a national premium residential property services group with representation in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland. With more than 360 agents nationwide, the business has grown rapidly since its commencement five years ago.

Listed on the ASX (ASX code: AU1) The Agency is not a franchise, but rather contracts directly with its agents across the nation.

With annual sales volumes now exceeding $6 billion, the group is emerging as one of the major forces in the Australian real estate sector.

“We share a fantastic relationship with The Agency; I have known Geoff since we were kids and have seen him deliver outstanding results throughout his career,” Fortis Director Charles Mellick said.

“We are excited to bring The Agency on board for Pillar+Tide, they understand the quality and appeal of this offering and how it aligns with the Brighton community. We are looking forward to sharing our success with Geoff and the team.”

The Agency Group Chief Executive officer Geoff Lucas said he was tremendously excited to work with the Fortis team on an exceptional project in Brighton, one of Melbourne’s most highly regarded precincts.

“We pride ourselves on premium results for all our clients, and the opportunity to team up with one of the east coast’s highest calibre development groups reinforces our commitment to work of the highest quality,” Mr Lucas said.

“Personally, having known Charles for a few decades now, this is a very special relationship and one we look forward to expanding in coming years.”

Pillar+Tide is a collection of 16 luxury residences located on the corner of Male St and Black St in Brighton. Designed by Carr and built by Cobild, the project offers three-bedroom residences with generous house-sized proportions.

Each residence is based on a unique floor plan and offers spacious outdoor and entertaining spaces.

With a bespoke and thoughtful design, Pillar+Tide is defined by rhythmic façade elements, robust natural materials and an abundance of space reflective of Brighton’s local architectural context.

The development is presented as a monolithic structure, with each residence complemented by lush, low maintenance landscaping by Acre.

A rare and sought-after corner location, Pillar+Tide puts an abundance of retail, cafés and restaurants within easy reach, together with excellent transport connections and lush, tree-lined streets.

The development is located less than 100 metres away from shops and amenities on thriving Church St, and a short stroll away from Brighton beach.

Pallas Group is the parent company of structured property investment arranger Pallas Capital and boutique developer Fortis.

The expected end value of Fortis’ Melbourne projects currently under construction or under a planning proposal is $1 billion, with a further $1.25 billion pipeline of work in Sydney.
