With his love of country living and passion for rural property sales Hamish Firth opens Ray White Rural Scone.

Ray White Rural is set to open its doors in Scone under the direction of Hamish Firth who brings extensive local knowledge and business acumen to the partnership with Australia’s largest real estate brand.
An award-winning landscaper, Mr Firth moved to Scone in 2013 with his wife Acey and their four children and began working in real-estate soon after.
Born in Narrabri, Firth’s family later moved to Yarramalong Valley and then to Kilcoy in Queensland where they ran a turf farm and cattle operation. Mr Firth’s next move was to Brisbane where he established a successful landscaping business, running three crews of landscapers and two landscape architects.
Owning a rural based real estate agency under the Ray White brand is the realisation of a long-held ambition and was a natural progression for Mr Firth.
“I have always loved the land, and the landscaper in me means I genuinely enjoy helping people prepare their property for sale and being part of the process of maximising their result. Real estate isn’t just a passion, I love it. I was drawn to the Ray White group which has always been strong and I know it’s here that I can build a great business backed by the White family,” he said.
“There are a lot of multi-generational families who have been in Scone for years and lately it’s become a well known magnet for people looking for lifestyle, grazing, farming and horse breeding properties. There’s also a strong demand for grazing and farming country throughout the Willow Tree, Merriwa and Liverpool Plains areas.”
Mr Firth is particularly excited about helping people capitalise on the extensive opportunities opening up in Scone, the Horse Capital of Australia.
“This is a town we are invested in – my wife Acey owns The Herd Store, which proudly stocks only Australian fashion labels – and we are seeing how the COVID-19 situation has prompted so many young people to make the move to enjoy a treechange in Scone. The town is booming – we’ll soon boast the best racing facilities in regional Australia thanks to the $20M development of the Scone Racecourse, which includes $4 million for a poly track upgrade and $16 million worth of new stable facilities.”
