Harcourts announces new NSW CEO, Katrina Tarrant

Harcourts have announced the appointment of Katrina Tarrant as NSW CEO, starting in 2022.

The Announcement:

Topping off a year of key leadership appointments for Harcourts Australia including a new national CEO and COO, new state CEOs in WA, QLD, a new head of property management and a head of national auctions, the brand has today announced the appointment of Katrina Tarrant as NSW CEO starting in 2022.

Harcourts Australia CEO Adrian Knowles says the New South Wales market is ripe for Harcourts to partner with businesses and individuals who share the same values, and this appointment is a critical first step.

“Katrina has made a name for herself over 28 years as a leader with integrity who has an unwavering commitment to people and a deep knowledge of property processes,” Mr Knowles said.

“An award-winning agent early on in her career, Katrina went on to own and operate three successful agencies, consulting on policy to one of Sydney’s largest councils. Since 2014, she has displayed a natural flair in a corporate capacity where she has been coaching, developing and mentoring principals and their staff on excellence and best practice.”

“She shares our belief that while results matter, putting people first is central to success. How we value and respect sellers, investors, buyers and tenants and, most importantly, members of the Harcourts brand, is a value we prioritise above all others.”

Katrina has been the NSW Business Growth Manager at First National, the NSW Network Manager at Raine & Horne, and the NSW Area Manager at Century 21.

“I’m really fortunate that my experiences across different real estate brands has shaped me and provided me with wonderful opportunities, learnings and insights into what makes great principals and great agents tick.

I have enormous respect for those leaders at First National, Raine & Horne and Century 21 who have each built a community and offering for their people. And it’s been an honour to coach, grow and mentor in their networks.

“I’ve long admired the culture that exists within Harcourts. The values so strongly align with my own personal ethos. NSW is a dynamic state and represents an amazing opportunity for this brand to build on its current network.”

Katrina commences with the group in late January 2022, a time of significant technology transformation for the brand.

“2022 will be a year of true innovation for Harcourts as we roll out a suite of cutting edge technology to streamline business operations and create meaningful advances across business activities. Having been in real estate back in the days when we typed up ledgers, it’s exciting to now be part of the proptech revolution.”

Katrina says that real estate has never been “just a job” for her.

“It’s a lifelong vocation I’ve dedicated myself to, with a focus on helping people achieve their best. It brings me immense joy to continue this journey with the Harcourts team. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work alongside the fresh leadership team at Harcourts Australia, with the likes of CEO Adrian Knowles, COO Lisa Pennell, state and department heads whose mentorship, leadership and guidance is creating the most exciting space in Australian real estate today.”
