Harcourts Group Australia has continued its expansion in Western Australia with three office openings in key Perth regional areas of Midvale, Wembley Downs and Bullsbrook.
The Harcourts Phoenix team will be led by Mike Steadall and will service the Perth Foothills/Hills community, located in the suburbs east of Perth. With over 35 years of experience in sales and marketing at management and grass roots level, Mr Steadall’s primary focus is on quality customer service and a providing a professional standard second to none.
“This area has the convenience of suburban living mixed with the peace and quiet of country rural living,” he said. “The community spirit and support of the Eastern suburbs is amazing, everyone bands together to show support or offer help when needed. It’s just a great place to live.”
Mr Steadall began his real estate career 18 years ago with his daughter Rebecca Butler, who manages the property management division. He said that joining the Harcourts network was like joining a large happy family. “We just love the values Harcourts has,” he said. “You’re not just another office, you’re family, you’re friends. Clients become friends. Plus, the bonuses of knowledge and support as well being a worldwide organization the benefits were just too good.”
The Harcourts Empire team will be led by Matt McWaters and Lisa McWaters, and will service the Wembley Downs community, located in the inner northwest suburbs of Perth.
“Starting our own business was a natural progression in our real estate career,” said Ms McWaters. “This however was not an easy decision and was a move we took very seriously. After entering into discussions with Harcourts the decision became much easier for us to make. We are excited and very happy to be a part of the Harcourts family and to be involved with a brand that has the highest values. The level of support we received when setting up and the ongoing training has been far greater than we could have ever expected.”
Mr McWaters grew up in Wembley Downs and shared that the coastal lifestyle is central to his love of the area. “I love the family orientated nature of the area along with the tree lined streets, parks and proximity to the beaches.
“I purchased my first property at 19 with a natural progression into investment properties and residential developments. Being a real people person, it was only a matter of time before making the move full time into the world of real estate. I have a true passion for my career having a Diploma of Property, Triennial certificate along with being a licensed auctioneer. But most of all it is the relationships I have made through this job that I value and love the most.”
For Ben Bernacki, opening the Harcourts Alliance Valley to Vines office is part of his business philosophy of expanding their services. Mr Bernacki is the business owner of the Harcourts Alliance office in Joondalup, a growing suburb north of Perth. Together with Gail Woods, they opened the second office to service a greater area.
The Harcourts Alliance team has repeatedly been recognised for its excellence amongst the Harcourts franchise network, including Top Office, Top Sales and achievements across sales and property management.
Paul Blakely, Harcourts Western Australia CEO, said “The expansion of Harcourts to serve a greater area of Western Australia, specifically the Perth region is a goal of ours.”
Mr Steadall said that the brand’s value ‘People First’ summarised their office philosophy, “You meet all types, from young nervous first home buyers to the multimillion dollar investor, each one teaching you a little more about life. Knowing that you are helping someone achieve their dreams and goals of owning their own home or selling their to go traveling, it’s a great feeling.”
Marcus Williams, Harcourts Group Australia CEO, says that the opening of the three Perth-area offices demonstrates a strengthening of the Perth residential market.
“Harcourts has consistently achieved an increase in market share quarter by quarter over the past year. We have no doubt that the positive signs in the Perth and Western Australian economy will lead to more investment in housing.
“We are very happy to have Mike’s, Ben & Gail’s, and Matt & Lisa’s teams join our family of offices, and we are looking forward to seeing their businesses continue to thrive and succeed.”
