A young rural agent has decided to anti-market a property in Bombala in southern NSW, outlining five reasons any potential buyers should avoid this property.
Ray White Rural Canberra and Yass agent George Southwell, 22, shot this video onsite at a property called Crystal View in southern NSW outlining the key reasons the property was not ideal.
“I’m going to give five reasons you won’t want to buy this property,” Mr Southwell said in front of the town sign welcoming people to Bombala, known as Australia’s platypus country.
The first reason not to buy Crystal View was its remote isolation.
“You’ll have to make friends with your new sheep because the neighbours seem to keep their distance,” he said.
The new purchaser will have to buy some more vehicle numbers too in order to fill the massive shed on the property.
“You’ll have to think twice about how many vehicles you own.”
A large entertainment space, a flash woolshed and proximity to the coast means you’ll be burdened with trying to balance your time between hosting guests, shearing on weekends and trying to fit in beach escapes with a spot of ocean fishing.
“But hands down, the biggest problem with Crystal View is that it has too much space,” the agent said.
“But if you can get past all the negatives, give me a call.”
The farm was named with reference to the crystal clear views of snow capped mountains in the distance.
Crystal View has been owned for many years by the Milliner family who have used the property for their transport and earth moving business. The Milliners are selling the land complete with barn, woolshed, a gigantic shed with office and ample water storage.
There are two homes, the larger has a notable verandah, the second has an entertainment area and barbeque area.
Some 5kms from Bombala, the new owners will be only 200kms from Canberra and a tad over 80kms to the beautiful South Coast.
“This is a property that could suit many needs; not least of all running livestock. Being a stones throw from the major road link between the Port of Eden, Southern NSW and Canberra, Crystal View could easily serve as a transport depot, engineering works or mechanic’s workshop.”

The owners have retired to Bombala’s township.
“Contrary to the property being on the market before with a listed price, our circumstances have changed dramatically and having already vacated the property we are very inclined to pursue a successful sale over chasing an unrealistic expectation for the property,” Ron Milliner, the owner said.
