A lot has happened in the life of pop star Britney Spears since she first purchased her Thousand Oaks mansion back in 2015 for US$7.5 million.
The home has been the centre of many Instagram dance routines and widely seen in documentaries as well as the stage for her surprise wedding to Iran-born fitness trainer Sam Asghari.
According to The Dirt, the house itself was designed by architect Ronald Firestone and built in 2000. It is set on a hilltop parcel within a guard-gated community, and behind private driveway gates of its own.
Inside there’s a double-height foyer with massive pillars and a wrought-iron staircase.
Marble floors lead guests into the great room, where a fireplace with a limestone mantle is tucked between built-in cabinets and floor-to-ceiling windows.
The home also boasts formal living and dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen fitted with a spacious centre island bench, timber cabinetry and high-end stainless appliances, and connects to a windowed breakfast nook with a fireplace.
Downstairs there’s an oak-panelled library featuring a fireplace, built-in bookshelves and Parquet de Versailles floors, which overlook the 20-acre estate’s grounds.
Outside there’s a combination of manicured parks, flower gardens, an orchard, a three-hole golf course with sand traps and a tennis court with sweeping views of the LA skyline and Santa Monica mountains.
The estate also offers a motorcourt with a six-car garage, along with an infinity pool and separate spa and poolside pavilion with its own kitchen, climate-controlled wine cellar with space for 3500 bottles.
