Maurice Marciano, co-founder of the iconic clothing brand Guess, has listed his luxury home in Beverly Hills for US$27.5 million.
According to The Dirt, Marciano, who started the famous clothing line along with his three brothers Paul, Armand and Georges back in the early 1980s, is looking to make nearly US$7 million profit on the sale of the property he bought six years ago.
Sitting on just over half an acre of land, the glass, steel and stone structure offers five bedrooms and eight bathrooms in more than 1000sq m of living space, spread across two storeys.
The mansion sits behind large gates for privacy and then provides floor-to-ceiling walls of glass for the ultimate in seamless indoor-outdoor living.
The lower level of the property is designed entirely for relaxation, complete with a movie theatre, game room and wine cellar, plus a spa and wellness centre with a gym, cold plunge pool, infrared sauna and steam room.
Once inside, a combined living/dining room area surrounds a massive linear fireplace and glass siders open out to an expansive terrace, ideal for alfresco dining and entertaining.
A spacious fireside family room connects to a sleekly designed kitchen outfitted with two island benches and high-end appliances.
The courtyard outside features a translucent bridge spanning the water feature below on its way to the glassy front door.
There’s also a number of long hallways that lead to the master retreat, which includes a sitting area, fireplace and private patio, along with dual walk-in closets and spa-inspired baths.
While outside, the inviting yet small backyard hosts a lap pool and a three-car garage.
Marciano has previously acted as both chief executive officer and chairman of the famous brand but retired as an executive officer at the end of January 2012.
