Juwai.com partners with Archistar to launch Property Feng Shui Reports

Feng Shui is an ancient art and science that was formalised over 3,000 years ago in China. Its principles aim to harmonise individuals with their surrounding environment - and has increasingly been used by modern architects to advance design. Now regular buyers can find out more about the Feng Shui of a property simply by clicking a button.

Juwai.com has launched a new service in partnership with Archistar offering Chinese real estate buyers the option of analysing the floor-plans of potential acquisitions for Feng Shui.

Archistar is an Australian Proptech startup, responsible for creating and operating aย Feng Shui analysis feature that assesses floor-plans and provides insights and design recommendations.

To celebrate the launch, Archistar conducted a Feng Shui analysis of The Lodge, the official residence of the Prime Minister of Australia, in Canberra.

The analysis found that the 1927 building has some excellent features for Feng Shui, finding positives in the location of the entrances, wash-closets, kitchens and bathrooms.

Having been developed over a 12 month period, the tool is a one-of-a-kind analysis engine thatย applies hundreds of design principles to develop a sophisticated and actionable report tailored to each propertiesโ€™ unique traits.

Archistar Founder and CEO Ben Coorey said: โ€œFrom improving ventilation to positioning beds in a way that aids sleep and accessing more natural light, there are simple steps every person can take to improve their home.

“Once upon a time Feng Shui was a tightly kept secret, now Archistar is democratising these principles for everyone.

Juwai.com CEO Carrie Law said, โ€œUntil now, buyers somehow had to find a local Feng Shui master and arrange for them to evaluate a floor plan.

“We know the mainland and other Chinese buyers whom we work with will love it.”

Ms Law also said among both younger and older buyers bad feng shui can ruin a sale, and good feng shui can bring a premium price.

“Feng Shui may be 3,000 years old, but it’s still relevant to many buyers today.

“Just because it originated in a simpler time doesn’t it can’t help people protect their homes from the bad energy that might be caused by busy traffic, modern building infrastructure, and the contemporary building code,” Ms Law concluded.

Archistar’s algorithm also lets property professionals and home-owners click on any block of land to instantly see what can be built.

The platform is used by agents, developers, architects, government planners and home-owners and has the objective of becoming the central marketplace for development.

Juwai.com reaches more than 3.1 million Chinese-speaking monthly users and showcases 2.8 million listings from 90 countries.
