Newlyweds, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker appear to have found their first joint home, having purchased Conan O’Brien’s oceanfront getaway in Carpinteria.
According to The Dirt, the couple paid US$14.5 million for the beach house, slightly below O’Brien’s US$16.5 million asking price, but well over the US$7.9 million, the funnyman paid for the property seven years ago.
During O’Brien’s ownership, the 1950’s-built property was completely remodelled, with all the usual celebrity additions.
The small main house includes two bedrooms and one bathroom, in just 92sq m of living space, plus a lower level with a bonus room, ample storage and an attached carport.
The kitchen boasts granite countertops and premium stainless appliances and is adjacent to the living/dining room that comes with a fireplace and spectacular ocean views.
The living room connects to a large wooden deck and alfresco dining area, while both bedrooms have ocean views.
On top of the cosy main house, there’s also a two-storey guesthouse with two separate bedroom suites, plus a living room and kitchenette with a breakfast bar.
Alongside the guesthouse, there’s a two-car garage with a Tesla charging station, all hidden behind large gates.
The nearly half-acre lot boasts 15 metres of ocean frontage and is surrounded by a combination of trees, plants and jungle foliage.
