Leading Illawarra agent Jeremy Hodder joins McGrath’s team

Leading Illawarra agent Jeremy Hodder will join McGrath’s sales team in the company’s expansion in the Illawarra.

Mr Hodder has been a real estate agent and auctioneer for 18 years – and his expertise are a valuable addition to the team, where he will also be a great mentor to emerging agents within the group.

Some of Mr Hodder’s impressive results for 2019 include setting a new suburb record for Coledale with the $3,550,000 sale of 15 Coledale Avenue; setting the highest sale price on the West Side of Thirroul in the last 12 months for 15 The Lookout, Thirroul, for $2,170,000; and 5 Garaban Court, Bulli, which also set a new suburb record.

McGrath Estate Agents Founder and Executive Director John McGrath said he was delighted that Mr Hodder, along with his associate agent Lashay Borg, were joining the company.

“Jeremy is one of the most successful agents in Australia and his passion for not only the industry, but also for helping his clients, is well-known,” Mr McGrath said.

“I believe Jeremy will move to an even greater level of success with McGrath in 2020.”

Mr Hodder said he was equally excited to be joining McGrath.

“When given the opportunity to join forces with the most creative, collaborative team of real estate professionals to offer my clients more exposure and resources when selling their homes, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity,” he said.

Commenting on the current real estate market, Mr Hodder said home owners in the Illawarra region were definitely experiencing a market on the upturn.

“We are seeing increased interest in well-located and affordable beach holiday homes for those attracted to the easy south coast lifestyle,” he said.

“There is a wide variety of properties available and a value for money proposition for families wanting to relocate, send their kids to school or university, and commute back to Sydney for work if necessary.

“This is becoming a more popular trend as they are being pushed out of the Sydney market. The out of area migration is coming from areas spanning from Sydney’s eastern and southern suburbs all the way across to Narellan.”

Mr Hodder said the Illawarra area is also within the reach of first home buyers and empty nesters.

“In the last six months we have set some new suburbs records which shows how much the market is strengthening in the new financial year following the finalisation of the election,” he said.
