Prominent Sunshine Coast agent Dan Smith has joined The Agency, backed by decades of real estate experience in the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast real estate markets.
Mr Smith spent the past 21 years with the Ray White network, where he was a consistent Elite Performer. A well-respected community leader in the Sunshine Coast areas of Mons, Forest Glen and Buderim, Mr Smith has built a reputation for strong residential real estate results and customer-centric service.
As a long time local and president of the Mons Progress Association, Mr Smith is in tune with his community. He’s also an active fundraiser for Buderim Mountain State School where his three children have all been students.
Most recently, Mr Smith was a selling agent with the Ray White Buderim office, having earlier been a part owner of the office. Mr Smith said he was very excited to be joining The Agency and be “at the coalface” while the brand expanded across Queensland.
“The model The Agency operates under really appealed to me for its flexibility and my ability to fit my work around what suits my clients. It provides a strong back-end support structure and good use of technology, freeing me up to tailor my campaigns and my workday around what works best for my clients.”
Aligning with The Agency would further propel his dominance in the luxury and prestige property space in the Sunshine Coast, said Mr Smith.
“Sellers of higher end properties tend to appreciate the sharpness of marketing and the brand presence, but also the flexibility of being able to design campaigns to suit them and their unique properties,” Mr Smith said.
“The Agency’s strong links to the Sydney and Melbourne prestige markets is a key drawcard for our marketplace also”.
David Price, The Agency Queensland General Manager, expressed his excitement at Mr Smith joining The Agency, and rekindling their professional relationship, having worked together previously in the Brisbane market when Mr Price was the owner of the highly successful Ray White Bulimba operation.
“Dan is one of the best performers on the Sunshine Coast,” Mr Price said.
“He is wonderful family man with an outstanding reputation. I’m honoured and privileged that Dan has made the decision to join The Agency. Dan represents what our brand is all about; the best people and top quality performers at the top of their game.”
The Agency Real Estate Chief Executive Officer Matt Lahood echoed this sentiment.
“Dan is not only a high calibre sales agent backed by years of high performance, but a local leader with deep ties to his community. Dan joins The Agency with significant momentum, having already build a strong pipeline of high quality listings. I’m looking forward to seeing Dan grow his operation and continue to go from strength to strength,” Mr Lahood said.
The Sunshine Coast has been touted as one of Australia’s property hotspots following a record year of growth. The latest Domain House Price Report, which tracked the property market movements for the December 2021 quarter, revealed a 22.8 per cent growth in Buderim house prices over the last 12 months, with median house prices soaring to $929,900. Over the last 5 years, Buderim houses have seen a 57.5 per cent growth in value.
The Agency Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Geoff Lucas underlined the strategic importance of The Agency’s presence in the Sunshine Coast, in line with the company’s vision to expand its national footprint.
“The buyer appetite for Sunshine Coast real estate is one of key factors driving our strategic move to the area, spearheaded by prominent and high-calibre agent Dan Smith,” Mr Lucas said.
“The region of Buderim represents a healthy real estate market with the unique and sought-after combination of urban amenities and a relaxed regional lifestyle. No doubt this growth trajectory will continue as interstate migrants flock to the area attracted to the high quality of living.”
