Lee Fitzgerald: Life-long friends

In more than two decades in the industry, Lee Fitzgerald from Ray White Dalkeith Claremont has had just about every job possible, but it’s the people met along the way that make it memorable

On getting into real estate
Initially, I applied for a job advertised in the paper for a receptionist at Elders Real Estate, Morely Peter Kuhne & Associates. Thankfully I got the job, and within about six months, I became their assistant property manager.

Now, after 21 years still working in the industry, I still love it. During this time I have completed my sales registration, worked my way up to senior property manager, became a sales cadet, did my triennial certificate, became a department manager, worked in trust accounts, moved my way across to branch manager and then licensee/department manager, and now general manager for Vivien Yap’s offices Ray White Dalkeith Claremont. 

The happiest moment in my career
Working within a variety of businesses, which has allowed me to meet some incredible people who are life-long friends and associates now. 

The most memorable moment
An executive property in Swanbourne. A former tenant showed interest and 18 months later, I got to lease it to them. 

Best advice she’s received
Treat people how you want to be treated. Be respectful to all people. 

Biggest challenge
Technology working with customer experience and being at the forefront of technology, innovation and change. To empower agents to use technology to increase the customer experience and work out the balance.
