Actress Lily Collins, best known for the film Emily in Paris has quietly acquired the former home of actress and comedian Kristen Wiig in an off-market deal.
According to The Dirt, the transaction took place last year, but due to it never being listed, there was little public fanfare around the purchase with records indicating Collins paid US$3.9 million.
Notably, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom Pasadena property was originally built in 1947, and designed by father-son duo Kemper Nomland and Kemper Nomland Jr for the influential Case Study program, which was sponsored by Arts and Architecture Magazine.
The main house includes 215sq m of living space while there’s also a detached guesthouse with another bedroom and bathroom.
It’s unclear what changes Wiig made to the home, however, previous listings indicate it boasts a freestanding fireplace that divides the living and dining rooms, and an eat-in kitchen that opens to a family room.
The home features multiple rooms with walls of glass sliders that flood the house with natural light and make that covetable indoor/outdoor lifestyle a breeze.
Outside, there are terraced gardens and multiple patios, plus a swimming pool and spa.
The entire mini-compound was renovated by former owners, who equipped the property with contemporary fixtures and amenities.
Wigg originally purchased the home for US$3 million in late 2017 and had a host of A-list neighbours including Oscar de la Hoya, Meryl Streep, Mandy Moore, and billionaire Ron Burkle.
