LJ Hooker honours top performing individuals and offices

LJ Hooker has reinforced its commitment to service excellence, recognising its top performers across Australia at the real estate network’s awards and recognition nights, held virtually this year around the country.

The five annual events, held by regions, recognise the top performing individuals and offices working across each part of real estate, including sales, property management, marketing, business strategy, and administration and support.

Like many other businesses, it was the first year the annual awards were held virtually.

It saw teams around the country attend via Zoom with prizes given out to those who celebrated in style – whether that was together, respecting social distancing, or at home with their families.

LJ Hooker Network Chief Graeme Hyde said the awards nights are much awaited by the network and shape up to be the most important events of the year.

“With the year 2020 has proven to be, recognising the successes and efforts of our people has been a breath of fresh air,” he said.

“Despite the market challenges faced by the real estate industry due to the uncertainty posed by COVID-19, many of our offices have pushed through and continued to achieve outstanding results.

“The purpose of our annual State Awards nights is to celebrate success and give our people the recognition and value they deserve – the sheer volume of awards this year demonstrates their ongoing commitment and dedication.”

The Business Owner of the Year award (one of the real estate network’s top awards) was conferred to the owners of LJ Hooker Palm Beach (QLD), LJ Hooker Bairnsdale (VIC/TAS), LJ Hooker Nelson Bay (NSW/ACT), LJ Hooker Craigmore | Elizabeth (SA/NT), and LJ Hooker Two Rocks (WA).

The award recognises the business leader whose pursuit of excellence and support of their teams and fellow network partners produces an unmatched contribution to the real estate brand.

“These business owners have shown unwavering dedication to their teams, and their customers and community, which is a shining example of leadership and determination,” added Mr Hyde.

Other major awards shine a light on the outstanding achievements of those in sales and property management, which had to quickly adopt new processes in a dramatically changing environment.

LJ Hooker Head of Property Management Amy Sanderson said it is vital to recognise and celebrate those who go the extra mile for their customers, particularly during difficult times.

“When people are faced with uncertainty, they often enter a heightened state of emotion; and as the conduit between the tenant and landlord, property managers are often put in challenging situations, take COVID as an example,” Ms Sanderson said.

“That’s why it is important to recognise and celebrate them and the integral role they play in our industry.”

LJ Hooker’s International Awards will be held later next month.
