Model life at Yolanda Hadid’s former Malibu mansion

The famous Malibu home once owned by Yolanda Hadid, a star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is now up for sale, priced just under US$35 million.

This Mediterranean-inspired villa first captured the public’s attention in 2013 with its luxurious interiors, including the much-talked-about glass-front produce fridge.

Yolanda Hadid, former model and mother to models Gigi, Bella, and Anwar Hadid, purchased the property in 2007 for US$4.5 million, according to the Robb Report.

She extensively renovated the estate, working with a team of 100 builders to create the perfect home, which she later shared with her then-husband, Grammy-winning composer David Foster.

Hadid sold the six-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion in 2015 for US$19.5 million to Robert F. Smith, founder of Vista Equity Partners, and his wife, Hope.

In 2019, the property was leased to reality TV star Kylie Jenner for US$450,000 a month.

The residence is set on a 3.2-acre bluff-top parcel along the Pacific Coast Highway, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains.

Spanning nearly 1086sq m across three levels, the home features soaring ceilings, dark hardwood floors, and walls of glass that enhance its spacious feel.

The villa’s standout features include resort-style grounds with an infinity-edge pool, a fire pit, an al fresco dining area, and a hillside lemon orchard.

The kitchen is equipped with top-tier stainless appliances, an eat-in island, a breakfast room, and the famed fruit and vegetable refrigerator.

The home also boasts a formal dining area, a glamorous living room, a cozy family room with a fireplace, a wood-panelled study, a plush movie theatre, and a game room with a wet bar.

The primary suite is a highlight, featuring a fireplace, private balcony, office nook, dual designer showroom closets, and luxurious bathrooms.

The lower level is dedicated to relaxation, with a double wine cellar, a spa oasis with a gym, massage and cold-plunge rooms, and steam and sauna facilities.

Outdoor amenities include an attached four-car garage and a gated motor court with parking for at least 20 vehicles.

Hadid, who appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2012 to 2016, left the show to focus on her recovery from Lyme disease.
