Mötley Crüe bass player and songwriter, Nikki Sixx, has purchased a Lake Sherwood mansion for US$6.9 million.
According to The Dirt, Sixx and his wife picked up the Californian mansion that overlooks Sherwood Country Club and the Santa Monica Mountains and sits on nearly an acre of land between Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks.
Built in 2001, the main house includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms in nearly 743sqm of living space, spread over two levels.
Outside there’s also a detached pool house with its own kitchen and bathroom.
The main house opens into a double-height foyer that leads directly to a formal living and dining room.
Alongside that, there’s a family room with its own fireplace, which is separated from the alfresco dining terrace by French doors.
The older-style kitchen comes with wooden cabinets and a granite-topped island bench as well as a butler’s pantry.
Downstairs, there’s an office/library that is connected to a powder room as well as a bedroom with an ensuite, and a laundry room.
Meanwhile, upstairs the master retreat comes with its own fireplace, a private balcony, a dressing area and dual walk-in closets.
However, the highlight of the estate has to be the large grounds that feature a fountain, a hidden kitchen/bar as well as a pool with a sundeck and a spa.
