Property managers around Australia: you have little over a week to start heavily hinting to your boss about next Friday’s breakfast cake, banquet luncheon, and a mid-afternoon knock-off.
That’s because the inaugural National Property Manager’s Day is happening on Friday, July 24.
The initiative was dreamed up by the REINSW, with all other state and territory Real Estate Institutes eagerly throwing their weight behind it.
The day was launched to recognise the herculean efforts of both residential and commercial property managers throughout the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
“Property managers have been the unsung heroes of the pandemic,” said Adrian Kelly, President of REIA, “working at the coalface and dealing with issues around tenants and property owners who have also lost their jobs.
“The property managers are the ones who have worked in the background to find solutions as best they can in the current environment.
“This work is continuing as the pandemic is still prolific and especially as the non-eviction period comes to an end.
“Property managers are the backbone to many estate agency businesses – the quiet achievers who work very hard every day in an environment where every minute of the day counts, looking after tenants just as much as property owners.”
