Patrick Swayze’s ‘Rancho Bizarro’ hits the market

Patrick Swayze’s former ranch in Sylmar, Los Angeles, has hit the market for $4.5 million.

The late actor, renowned for roles in films such as Dirty Dancing and The Outsiders, purchased the 4.5-acre property in 1984 and named it Rancho Bizarro.

The estate, originally dedicated to Arabian horse breeding, is situated in the northern fringes of the San Fernando Valley, according to the Robb Report.

The ranch has seen a significant transformation since oil heiress and climate activist Aileen Getty, its current owner, purchased it from Swayze’s widow, Lisa Neimi, in 2015 for $2.9 million.

What was once a neglected property now stands as a boho-chic equestrian haven.

The estate offers a quick commute to multiple areas in Los Angeles and features several structures, including a 1940s three-bedroom main house, a guest cottage, and a detached garage.

The main residence boasts a wood-panelled living room with a fireplace and a kitchen that opens into a dining area under a glass-roofed solarium.

Additional features include a gym with a vaulted ceiling and a master suite that offers a projector system, a walk-in closet, and a jetted tub.

Outside, a stone-paved motor court links the main house to the garage.

The guest cottage, separate from the main house, is adorned with bold, jungle-themed wallpaper and includes a fireplace and a bathroom.

The estate also includes an 11-stall horse barn equipped with a tack room, a laundry room, and grooming stalls.

An adjoining clubhouse has a bathroom and overlooks a professional, lighted riding arena.

The property even houses resident goats named Cocoa and Caramel, along with ducks named Baby and Johnny.

With its remarkable amenities and storied history, this ranch provides a luxurious escape without straying too far from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
