Developers Hirsch and Faigen have lodged plans with the Gold Coast City Council for a luxury 26-storey precinct in Mermaid Beach, delivering a collection of 146 apartments.
The Announcement:
The latest injection of architectural excellence is one step closer to rising in Gold Coast’s illustrious Mermaid Beach with seasoned Melbourne based-developers Hirsch and Faigen lodging plans with council for a collection of timeless residences set within a secluded enclave.
In a precinct adjoining some of the city’s most expensive real estate lining Hedges Avenue, Hirsch & Faigen together with renowned architects Rothelowman are set to deliver a collection of 146 luxury apartments contained in a striking 26-storey tower.
Rising from 7-9 Mermaid Avenue, the development will capture uninterrupted, panoramic views from the ocean to the hinterland from a dynamic range of one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans, including a sub-penthouse and penthouse floor.
“We have carefully selected this site to deliver a high quality residential offering in a very central pocket wedged between Hedges Avenue and Broadbeach, which we will deiver to market on receipt of council approval,” said Hirsch & Faigen director Richard Hirsch.
“Mermaid Beach will mark our third project on the Gold Coast which we believe has a tremendous future and is incredibly undervalued.
“We are currently working on the design plans and looking to bring something very special to the precinct.”
Indulgence will permeate every level of the development, cumulating in a lavish resident’s only amenity collection complete with 25m lap pool, kids garden, fully equipped gym and yoga studio, wellness spa and sauna as well as a private rooftop sky lounge and wine bar.
“One of our core beliefs is that good design should enhance the lives and wellbeing of its residents, which was the driving force behind the extensive amenity range we sought to incorporate into our Mermaid Beach design,” said Mr Hirsch.
Rothelowman have re-joined forces with Hirsch and Faigen in quick succession to the duo’s partnership on Hemingway Palm Beach and recently launched Emerson Kirra, to devise a structure anchored in ageless design that will endure as a centrepiece of the lavish Mermaid Beach property scene.
Beyond its aspirational nature, Mr Hirsch says the suburb of Mermaid Beach captures the coastal culture heavily sought after by the discerning luxury buyer.
“The site was selected for it being the perfect microcosm of cafes, luxury homes and culture, centred between the beach, restaurants and vibrancy of Broadbeach, with Pacific Fair and the Casino a short journey up the road,” said Mr Hirsch.
Pending council approval, the project is pitched to hit the market in early December.
Meanwhile further south Hirsch & Faigen is making strides with an ultra-boutique collection of residences perched on the Kirra beachfront to capitalise on the furious appetite for south end luxury.
