Ray White AKG promotes female leadership

The Ray White Avi Khan Group has appointed a series of female leaders in key roles as it recalibrates for the future.

The Announcement:

Ray White Avi Khan Group (AKG), based south of Brisbane, is recalibrating for the future with key leadership announcements following a stellar year.

Ray White AKG principal Avi Khan said the past 12 months had been outstanding for the young group composed of Ray White Daisy Hill, Ray White Marsden and Ray White AKG Commercial.

“We helped over 1500 families, with 760 properties sold throughout the Brisbane south region,” Mr Khan said.

“Our property management portfolio grew to over 1,000 managements with the acquisition of Place Springwood’s rent roll. Another 38 people joined our group in that period as well.”

Mr Khan takes great pride in the growth of Ray White AKG people.

“After the internal promotion of Rebecca Cuderman last year, we realised the need for more senior leadership roles,” he said.

“Our new leaders have over 50 years of collective experience.”

Rachael Curtis, previously Ray White Queensland’s Property Manager of the Year, has accepted a new role as CEO of Property Management for Ray White AKG with a focus on mentoring and recruiting an impressive number of property managers expected to join the group within the next 12 months.

“We are actively looking for more acquisition opportunities throughout Brisbane and the faith that landlords have shown us has been very humbling,” Ms Curtis said.

“We also recognised we needed a Head of Growth for our property management business and that role has been taken up by Bec Turner. Bec welcomed more than 500 landlords last financial year to our rent roll.”

Ray White AKG is pleased to announce Kaylea Sayer has joined the team as Head of Growth and Performance.

Previously working for leading proptech companies and other leading real estate agencies, Ms Sayer will work within the group’s ecosystem of companies and technology offerings to improve productivity and performance.

Mr Khan said he’s aware of a clear distinction within real estate between leading people and leading technology, and believes a great business leads from the front across both aspects.

“Our goal is to be the smartest agency in Queensland,” he said.

“Too often in a business there is so much technology and data but it’s never utilised to its full potential.”

Genevieve Trew, previously Ray White Queensland’s Administrator of the Year, moves to a Chief of Operations role and is looking forward to overseeing further team growth.

Caitlin Cookson joins as an Office Manager which has enabled Ray White AKG to embed more support layers for agents and property managers.

The leadership team is complete with the appointment of Brittany Macpherson as Head of People and Culture.

Ms Macpherson is responsible for managing the AKG Ecosystem, which focuses on client care regarding both buyers and sellers, and ensuring synergy between the group’s real estate division, Loan Market offering and solicitor services.

She previously worked as an executive assistant to the principal and has held various roles with franchisors and proptech groups.
