Ray White Victoria and Tasmania has strengthened its focus on selling properties under the hammer with the announcement of Matthew Condon as Chief Auctioneer.
Mr Condon started in the role this month, however his ties with the Ray White Group date back two years to when he started in the business as a national skills trainer, educating agents on successful sales and auction methods.
“I’ve predominantly done most of that work in Melbourne,” Mr Condon said.
“It’s been really enjoyable to work with the corporate team on delivering auctions in changing markets. Moving into the position of Chief Auctioneer is a natural evolution of my role during that time.”
Ray White Victoria and Tasmania CEO Stephen Dullens said he was thrilled to welcome Mr Condon as Chief Auctioneer.
“Skills development will be absolutely paramount in these market conditions, where the data shows very clearly that the auction method results in significantly shorter days on market and better results for our customers” Mr Dullens said.
“Matt’s focus will continue on training, auctioneering and stock management, and he will call auctions for the Group. Having conducted over 3,500 auctions in his career, we’re thrilled to have someone of Matt’s calibre joining our team. Adding to our 16-strong corporate support team in Victoria and well over 350 team members who work for Ray White at a corporate level, we feel we are best placed to assist business owners and their teams through any market adjustment.”
Mr Condon says that he’s looking forward to getting involved with the teams to help with their training and growth, to deliver better results for their vendors.
“It’s not about arriving, calling and leaving. I want to provide the best support around the benefits of auctions in the market, regardless of what the market is doing. The auction culture here at Ray White Victoria and Tasmania is exciting as is the opportunity created by this changing market landscape” he said.
