Ray White Ballarat on the side of angels

Ray Whiteโ€™s Ballarat agents have raised thousands of dollars to help ‘bale’ out farmers in drought.

The office donated $7,700 to the Drought Angels charity following their โ€˜Sale for a Baleโ€™ drive, where residential, rural and commercial sales consultants made donations from the commission of each sale over a three-month fundraising campaign.

Ray White Ballarat Residential Sales Consultant Paul McGourlay said it was important to keep the connection between the leading real estate group and Australian farmers.

โ€œThe reason itโ€™s so important for us to have this link to the droughts across Australia is because farmers are such an integral part of this country,โ€ Mr McGourlay said.

โ€œWithout them, we wouldn’t have the lovely fresh produce we have in our supermarkets today and when we’re in a position to help people in hard times, that’s exactly what we should do.

โ€œItโ€™s great our whole team pulled together for such an important cause.โ€

Ray White Rural and Livestock Chairman Paul White said he wanted to make sure the group gave something back to rural Australia.

โ€œIn the last year in particular, farmers across the country have been doing it particularly hard, so itโ€™s only right we do what we can to help support them,โ€ Mr White said.

โ€œAfter a rainfall or two, people seem to forget the strife theyโ€™re in and move on, so itโ€™s up to us to continue to help them in any way we can.”

He said he was impressed by the generosity of the Ray White Ballarat team.

“No doubt the money will go towards a great cause like extra bales for our hard-working farmers,” Mr White said.
