Ray White Rural appoints key specialist in Melbourne

Ray White Rural has announced the appointment of a new leader in Victoria.

Matt White, a fourth-generation leader in the Ray White family and a successful business owner, has now joined Ray White Rural and Livestock in Melbourne as its state director and auctioneer.

Ray White Rural and Livestock CEO Stephen Nell said Mr White’s appointment was a timely critical investment at an important juncture in the company’s growth.

“This year is our 25th year of operation and with over 100 offices and over $1.6B in sales annually, we are ensuring our members have the best resources to run strong local businesses,” Mr Nell said.

Matt White is the great-grandson of the original Ray White, who started the business in 1902 in Crows Nest, Queensland.

He has a degree in Applied Science (Property Economics) from the University of Queensland and is well versed in all property sectors.

Throughout his career he has forged strong relationships within the property industry across the eastern seaboard of Australia.

“The company has been in continuous family ownership for more than 117 years; you could say that real estate is in Matt’s blood,” Mr Nell said.

“Matt has long been a principal and auctioneer in our network and has worked in the property industry for his entire professional career. He has successfully sold many farms in this time and has expanded our rural network with a particular focus on Victoria and Tasmania,” Mr Nell said.

Mr White said he was excited about the future opportunities for Ray White Rural in Victoria.

“I am looking forward to expanding upon our footprint in Victoria and taking some of the enduring business models that we have in other states into my home state,” he said.

“I’ll be working to recruit new members and open new offices, as growth is firmly in our company’s DNA.”
