RE/MAX New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Don Ha has expanded to Fiji, opening an office in Lautoka.
Known as RE/MAX Tropics the office will be headed by broker owner Paula Benn.
The new office comes just one month after Mr Ha acquired the master franchise for Fiji.
RE/MAX Tropics is set to offer real estate services across residential, commercial, resorts, projects and property management.
Mr Ha said the acquisition of the master franchise rights in Fiji was a strategic move that marked a significant expansion of his company’s operations.
“This is an incredible opportunity to serve the growing real estate market in Fiji,” Mr Ha said.
“It is an enormous honour to have Paula, with her wealth of experience – more than eight years and number one agent for a leading international brand – join our global brand and open the first Fiji office under our leadership.
Mr Ha said there would be a number of new RE/MAX offices opening in Fiji, with plans for further expansion in the Pacific.
“Our expansion allows for great opportunities through reciprocal referral exchanges and broader global awareness campaigns,” he said.
“For buying and selling real estate in Fiji, RE/MAX delivers solutions and better outcomes; and for those interested in getting into real estate as a career, RE/MAX presents a different way of conducting business and offers intriguing possibilities.”
Chief Operations Officer for RE/MAX New Zealand + Fiji, Mala Maharaj, said the location offers incredible growth potential.
“Picturesque Lautoka is the second largest city in Fiji and an area of growth and employment, and we expect growth in the RE/MAX Tropics team to reflect the growth we see in its marketplace,” Ms Maharaj said.
As a local, Ms Maharaj said she is incredibly passionate about growing the real estate network in Fiji.
“What RE/MAX has given me, I give back to the people and with my family ties to Fiji, this is more than expanding into a new region, it is like a homecoming,” she said.
