RE/MAX Revolution opens in New Zealand

Recently in New Zealand, RE/MAX Revolution showed its star calibre at its official opening, an event described by RE/MAX New Zealand and RE/MAX Australia Managing Director Michael Davoren as the ‘greatest attendance at any office opening in his real estate career of more than 35 years’.

Around 250 attended, comprising clients and suppliers whom RE/MAX Revolution broker owner Don Ha had formed relationships with through his 25 years-plus in real estate, corporate RE/MAX people, members of the broader business community, and RE/MAX Revolution family and friends.

Officiating and on hand to cut the ribbon  at the Papatoetoe office was one very special guest in retired businessman and father of Don Ha, Mr NK Ha.

Family, tradition and culture figure strongly in Don Ha’s philosophy and approach to business and underpin his business success.

In recognising the huge role NK Ha has played in Don’s life, for Don to invite his father to play a prominent role in the opening celebration’s proceedings was a perfect way to show respect and thanks.

“Dad is my number one hero,” Don Ha told his guests.

Among the well-known faces at the event were sporting identities including All Blacks past and present, and special guest speaker Lisa Tamati, whose career as a professional athlete spans over 23 years of competing in some of the toughest endurance events on earth, and participating in and leading expeditions.

Ms Tamati related her insight into develop mental toughness, emotional resilience, leadership skills and a never-quit mentality to the real estate business world.

Don Ha opened the RE/MAX Revolution ‘super office’ in Hunter’s Corner, Papatoetoe, Auckland on January 1st this year.

With more than 40 currently on the team, he is focused on nurturing the professional and personal development of his people and the continued growth and success of RE/MAX Revolution.

Already leading an award-winning lineup of New Zealand’s finest real estate specialists, he is committed to business growth through exceptional service, and views RE/MAX as a platform to the world.

RE/MAX New Zealand General Manager, Corinna Mansell, said that Don Ha, like the global RE/MAX itself, held true to an innovative, entrepreneurial culture that gives agents independence and flexibility to grow their own thriving businesses.

“The platform of service that Don offers his agents is very high in his priorities, and he also aligns with the RE/MAX passion for the communities in which our agents live and work,” Ms Mansell said.

Don Ha prefers to see his agents earning more than he does.

“These are the agents who will want to stay on my team, and I want their own businesses to grow.

“My agents are ambassadors for my business,” he said.

Mr Ha says his company is built on its people.

“The success of the people in the company is what makes the company and I’d like to thank all of my staff personally for their loyalty and trust in my leadership.

“In particular, I would like to thank our General Manager, Mala Maharaj, who worked tirelessly to project manage the renovation and fit-out of the new premises, and coordinated the move and the opening event.

“I thank Steve Starke, our sale manager, for his role in the company; and I also would like to acknowledge my co-director, Colin Claxton, who was unable to be there on the night and thank his wife Denise who attended on his behalf,” said Mr Ha.
