RE/MAX Australia has consolidated its Australian reach with the West Australian RE/MAX network now aligned with the Australian master franchise.
Leading RE/MAX Australia are managing director Michael Davoren and directors Chris Chapman, Joel Davoren and Josh Davoren.
Michael Davoren said acquiring the West Australian network was an exciting step forward for the RE/MAX brand in Australia.
“We are conscious that we are taking bold positive action in the midst of an unsettled global scene, but such is our confidence in the Australian real estate sector, and particularly in WA,” he said.
Geoff Baldwin, who has owned the West Australian franchise since 2009, remains with RE/MAX Australia as franchise owner of RE/MAX Exchange in Hillarys, a northern coastal suburb of Perth.
“This is a positive move for WA real estate customers and truly the basis of my decision,” Mr Baldwin said.
“Customers, business owners and agents will have significantly more RE/MAX resources to enhance real estate transactions.”
Mr Davoren said they were delighted Mr Baldwin was remaining with the Australia-wide network, having played a vital part in unifying the RE/MAX brand in Australia.
RE/MAX Australia, which has its head office in Brisbane, will establish an operations centre in Perth.
“As soon as we are able, we’ll have a regional team on the ground in WA to support our franchise owners and agents there, to help them grow their businesses, while the network thrives,” Mr Davoren said.
“We are firmly focused on WA as a state of optimism and growth.
“RE/MAX is a global network with a presence in more than 110 countries and territories, and ultimately all our customers reap the benefits of local knowledge and experience backed by a wealth of expertise ensuring agents provide exceptional real estate experiences.”
The acquisition means the West Australian network will be part of the RE/MAX Australia network from 1Â May this year, with Michael Davoren confident of growth in all Australian states.
