At realestate.com.au we’re constantly working to make sure we’re doing everything possible to protect your data and the data of your customers. With 1form specifically, we hold a very large amount of tenant data on your behalf, so we’d like to take you through an important security upgrade that we’re making to your 1form account.
Over the coming months, we’ll be introducing two-factor authentication to 1form as part of the log in process, which means that you’ll need to have your mobile number attached to your account.
Once two-factor authentication is enabled, you’ll need to enter a unique code that will be sent to your mobile when logging in, so we know that it’s you.
Once this change has been made, everyone who uses 1form will need to have their own account. This means that if you’re currently sharing 1form login details in your office, you’ll no longer be able to.
We know that having to set-up additional logins for yourself or your team might be an inconvenience, but there are really important reasons why we’re making this change, and we’re here to help you get prepared.
In recent years, we’ve all seen how security breaches can massively impact the trust that consumers have with brands and organisations. Consumers are becoming more aware of the importance of data security and this has resulted in tighter security measures being introduced across most online experiences we have.
Two-factor authentication has become one of the most secure ways to protect accounts from unauthorised access and for this reason we’ve already seen it implemented across our bank accounts, online payment systems, social media accounts and even email accounts.
Every day at realestate.com.au we’re collecting and holding a huge amount of your customer’s personal identifiable information (PII) via 1form applications, and we’re committed to supporting you and your customers by making sure all the tenant information we hold is as secure as possible.
We want to work with you to make sure that through 1form we’re offering tenants a product that is easy, fast but most importantly safe for those who use it.
So, if you are sharing 1form login details in your office, you can get prepared by simply making sure everyone has their own login details.
Anyone who needs to set-up a login can do so by heading to 1form.com/ams/signup. You don’t need to wait, you can do this right now.
We’re here to support you to make sure any disruption to you and your team is minimal.
To help make the transition as smooth as possible for you, we’ll be in touch with an email closer to the time to let you know the exact date that two-factor authentication will be set-up for your office and to help you get prepared.
You can also get in touch with us any time at [email protected] if you have any questions.
