REIA awards to be held in Melbourne to support Victoria’s recovery

The Real Estate Institute of Australia will hold its annual National Awards for Excellence in Melbourne next year, where they will celebrate outstanding community and industry contribution.

The Announcement:

Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) will hold its coveted annual awards ceremony in Melbourne next year in a bid to support Victoria’s recovery after lockdown.

The esteemed event will be held at the iconic Zinc at Federation Square on 7 April 2022.

REIA President Adrian Kelly said the event has already attracted sponsors, AON and Terri Scheer, with further sponsorship opportunities on offer.

“REIA has been running the awards since 2006 and remain the only independent, peer reviewed and practitioner-led awards. Each State and Territory run highly prestigious Awards for Excellence and winners of these win the right to compete in the REIA National Awards for Excellence.

“REIA’s aspiration is to use the awards as a platform to showcase outstanding community and industry contribution, furthering practitioner best practice and the pursuit of excellence in the Australian real estate industry.

“What this means is our awards don’t look at sales results and property management growth but also how agents and real estate practices are contributing to the good of their teams; and the communities around them.

“So when clients are going to select an agent for sale or to manage their investment, they should be asking, are these agents the best practitioners by results, the best at helping their people and the best practice in my suburb or town.

“Winners of the National Awards for Excellence provides customers with that assurance and level of distinction that you are selecting the very best agent in your field. “The REIA National Awards for Excellence is underpinned by four key pillars:

  • Pillar 1: Furthering best practice with applications judged by how much commitment to on the job CPD and training; as well as investment in teams are given.
  • Pillar 2: Community contribution on how practitioners build the value of the whole community their business is based in.
  • Pillar 3: Independently judged and peer reviewed winners are selected by leading practitioners from across Australia based on a strict third-party criterion and comprehensive audit.
  • Pillar 4: Results achieved for clients winners are selected on evidence based on a strict judging criterion and is based on actual results.

Invitation only entries to State and Territory winners will open in December 2021.
