The Real Estate Industry of South Australia (REISA) has revealed a future focus on technology will be a major part of its centenary review.
Last week REISA announced the review as part of its 100-year celebrations, with REISA President Brett Roenfeldt OAM later noting technology would be the body’s main focus.
“The world is changing faster with less predictability and with greater shifts than at any other time across politics, society, technology and the economy, and our industry is not immune from this relentless global force,” he said.
Mr Roenfeldt has previously stated the review will place a big emphasis on its younger members and how the organisation can best lead them into the future.
“The rise and rise of technology, big data, automation, real time solutions for consumers and business interruption more generally, are all influencing our industry and must inform our forward strategy.
“Against that background, the Institute is reviewing the needs of its members to ensure we are supporting the industry’s ongoing professional development through appropriate training models utilising new technologies to deliver the services our members require and ultimately delivering even better experiences for the real estate community of South Australia.”
Mr Roenfeldt said the review was targeted for completion in the second half of 2019.
