Eighteen regions now make up RE/MAX Asia Pacific, with delegates also coming from other countries including as Canada, United States, Poland, Argentina, South Africa and Italy.
In regional franchise awards presented by RE/MAX LLC at a session for master franchise owners, RE/MAX Australia was the silver medalist for the franchise sales award, which recognized the region’s significant growth year-to-date 2017.
Special guests and keynote speakers included author and inspirational speaker Li Cunxin of Mao’s Last Dancer-fame; REA Group’s Nigel Dalton, who ranks in the top 10 most influential people in technology in Australia; RE/MAX Italia’s Dario Castiglia; Sebastian Sosa, international affairs professional and owner of RE/MAX Argentina-Uruguay; and John Witheriff, Chairman at Minter Ellison Gold Coast and Director of the Commonwealth Games Authority.
Australian offices RE/MAX Regency, Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast’s RE/MAX Hinterland, and New Zealander Zoran Mulovski from RE/MAX Zest won top awards.
RE/MAX Regency principals Murray Carter and Justin Miller, with agent Stuart Legg were also in the top three commission earners for residential sales.
RE/MAX Territory, with offices at Oxenford, Monterey Keys and Shailer Park in Queensland, was named in the top three multi-offices for agent growth.
Other Queensland offices with significant wins were RE/MAX Bayside Properties, RE/MAX Profile Real estate and RE/MAX Results which featured in the top three for sales and agent growth categories.
Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia and Guam figured strongly in top office accolades, with Eduardo Santos from the Philippines named top residential sales agent. Denver-based Larry Oberly, Cheryl Luster, Adele Qi and Jan Repa from RE/MAX LLC were on hand to present the awards.
RE/MAX Australia and RE/MAX New Zealand Managing Director Michael Davoren said:
“The Asia Pacific awards were based on efforts in the first half of this year, and these were all very proud winners in a region with somewhere around 280 or more offices and more than 2300 agents.”
“This convention offered massive networking opportunities for our Australian and New Zealand agents, and agents, investors and developers through the Asia Pacific region and beyond,” Mr Davoren said.
The fourth annual RE/MAX Asia Pacific Convention will be hosted next year by RE/MAX South Korea.
