Congratulations to Ross Whiteman in Western Australia on his recent Order of Australia medal in the Australia Day honour’s roll.
Ray White Western Australia CEO Mark Whiteman said he was so proud of his father’s award in recognition of many years of service and dedication to such a worthy cause.
“Dad was recognised for his service to people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Dad led the Western Australian Association for MND for nearly 14 years following our mum, Ann Winifred’s passing, due to the disease,” Mr Whiteman said.
“Dad has led many organisations including Ray White Western Australia as its CEO and made many important contributions to the community on so many levels.
“This is really wonderful recognition of a genuinely good man.
“Mum would be very proud as are we.”
Ross Whiteman has been a member and fundraiser for the MND Association since 2001.
In 1994, Ross Whiteman introduced Ray White to the Western Australian property market.
He was chief executive of Ray White Real Estate WA from 1994 to 2002.
Ross together with his late wife Ann built a strong family business, originally in Dianella and then in Maylands before sons Mark and David joined them in 1989 and 1990 respectively.
Joining the Ray White family in late 1993 Ross has continued to lead and support the Western Australian membership. Through their personal affiliation with Motor Neurone Disease the family continues to work to provide support for people living with MND.
“Dad’s award is not just a great personal accolade but also one that the many people from Ray White and Loan Market who have supported him in supporting people living with MND can also take pride in,” Mr Whiteman said.
