Sales and auctioneer champion joins DiJONES

Real estate sales and auctioneer champion John Sullivan has merged his business Sullivan Real Estate with DiJONES Lower North Shore.

With more than 30 years of real estate and auction experience, Mr Sullivan started his working life as a stock and station agent and was head auctioneer for AML&F in Queensland, before heading overseas for 20 years.

He lived and worked across Los Angeles and London, followed by 14 years in the publishing industry based in New York and Connecticut.

Selling more than $1 billion worth of real estate, and starting the highly successful Auctionworks with David Scholes, Mr Sullivan has been operating his own agency Sullivan Real Estate since 2001.

Drawing on his diverse career, Mr Sullivan is looking forward to working with the DiJONES team, where he will operate as a sales agent out of DiJONES Mosman.

“Over the years I have previously collaborated with people from DiJONES Lower North Shore, I’ve been very impressed with their integrity and professionalism,” he said.

“When I was approached with the proposal to merge, it was an easy decision. My colleague Carolyn Cornforth and I have been warmly welcomed and I am excited about the next chapter in my career.”

DiJONES Lower North Shore CEO Dean Mackie says the appointment of Mr Sullivan further secures DiJONES as an industry leader.

“We are thrilled to have John – one of Sydney’s most experienced real estate identities – join the team,” Mr Mackie said.

“Over his extensive career John has continuously set the benchmark for achieving outstanding results, collaborating with the top agents, and driving innovation – making him the perfect fit for DiJONES.”

Reflecting the same sentiment, DiJONES Principal Piers Van Hamburg said Mr Sullivan’s unmatched experience made him an exceptional asset to the team.

“John not only has a reputation for superior client services but is also a well-respected and involved member of the Lower North Shore community, as a valued resident for over 21 years,” Mr Van Hamburg said.

“Having John on board will allow us to further capitalise off the DiJONES difference, that has seen us achieve market share growth across Sydney and the Southern Highlands.”
