Former Hodges Real Estate CEO Carmel Kellett has traded Melbourne’s lane ways and trams for the laid-back lifestyle and light-rail of the Gold Coast after taking on the role of national Franchising Director for end-to-end property business Coronis.
Managing Director Andrew Coronis said attaining Ms Kellett’s services had been one positive to have arisen out of the pandemic, with coronavirus providing her with the impetus to seek a sea change and a role with Coronis.
“When Carmel reached out a couple of months ago and said she wanted to move to Queensland and join the Coronis Group, I was very honoured that someone of her calibre and experience had singled us out as her only choice,” Mr Coronis said.
“COVID-19 has given us an incredible gift by pushing Carmel to make the move north now, instead of waiting for retirement.”
Mr Coronois described Ms Kellett as a talented, caring leader who had a strong desire to help others reach their full potential.
“A standout quality of Carmel’s, and the true mark of a wonderful leader, is that she has left every business she has worked for in a much better place. including Wizard Home Loans, Metricon and Hodges Real Estate,” he said.
Ms Kellett, who served as CEO of Hodges for five-and-a-half years, said she was excited to relocate to Queensland and was passionate about empowering clients to grow their wealth in order to build a lifestyle that suits their circumstances.
“After two COVID-19 lockdowns in Melbourne, I knew it was time to make the move to the Sunshine State and I knew Coronis was the brand that I wanted to join and be a part of,” Ms Kellett said.
She said she was confident she would be able to use the company’s direct business approach to further build Coronis’s profile and implement its franchise model to drive national growth.
“Coronis has created something very special based on solid processes and systems, which is why I specifically wanted to come work with Andrew and the Coronis team.”
