In the realm of real estate, an intriguing story unfolded as Patrick Duffy, widely recognised for his roles in iconic TV series like Dallas and Step by Step, made headlines with the sale of his picturesque Oregon ranch.
Last year, Duffy’s longstanding Oregon ranch, known as the Duffy Ranch, was listed on the market for an initial asking price of $14 million, according to the Robb Report.
However, despite a later price reduction to $11 million, the property failed to find a buyer.
Consequently, it is now set to go under the hammer in a no-reserve auction from December 7th to the 14th.
Located on approximately 330 acres just outside of Medford in Eagle Point, Duffy, along with his late wife Carlyn Rosse, originally purchased the ranch back in 1990 for a modest $1.5 million.
At the time, it was a pristine haven, far from the bustle of city life.
The ranch boasted no paved roads but offered enchanting trails through the woods and nearly a mile of river frontage along the Rogue River.
Over the years, the couple invested $3 million and countless hours expanding their dream retreat.
The Duffy Ranch now comprises nine separate parcels, featuring two homes, two charming guest cabins, a serene recreation pond, and two miles of riverfront property.
The main house, a rustic lodge reminiscent of the 1950s, stands proudly on 79 acres of land.
With four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a generous 278sq m of living space, it embodies comfort and tranquility.
Inside, hardwood floors, wood beam ceilings, and a cozy wood-burning fireplace welcome residents and guests alike.
Surprisingly, the house also houses an art gallery, a wine cave, and a spa cabin.
The couple’s vision even led them to convert one of the outbuildings into an indoor lap pool.
As the Duffy Ranch now heads to auction, its captivating history and unique features promise to draw significant attention.
