Submissions closing soon for AREAs

Submissions are closing soon for the Annual REA Excellence Awards (AREAs), which recognise property industry players who go above and beyond.

Now in their second year, the AREAs honour innovative, community-minded high achievers across the entire property industry – from residential and commercial agents, property developers and home builders to those providing home loans or working in the media.

Residential real estate agents and property managers have the opportunity to enter six awards across the key categories of Innovation, Community, Service and Marketing excellence. This year, REA has introduced a new ‘Gold Area’ Agency of the Year award which will acknowledge the best in class within the three key categories.

Each submission will be judged by a panel of independent professionals who are experts in their fields. Judges include DIAKRIT co-founder Chris Karlsson; Adam Di Marco, founder and publisher of The Urban Developer; investment property expert Chris Gray; David Spriggs, CEO of Infoxchange; Neville Hurst of RMIT University, and many more prominent names in the industry including Elite Agent’s Samantha McLean.

Finalists will be announced on August 31 and each finalist will be invited to attend the black-tie awards in Melbourne on November 16.

Winners last year include Hugh Bateman from the Property Shop in Mudgee; Gavin Rubinstein of Ray White for excellence in customer service; and Grant Smith of Century21 for property campaign of the year, for selling an uninhabitable property above reserve price.

Submissions close June 30.
