Star of The Big Bang Theory, Simon Helberg, has listed his Los Feliz home for US$9.875 million.
According to The Dirt, Helberg and his wife Jocelyn Towne purchased the 1930s built property in 2019, paying US$6.9 million, before undertaking an extensive restoration and modernisation of the two-storey stucco and terracotta-roof structure.
The six-bedroom, six-bath Spanish Colonial-style estate sits on three parcels of land spanning three-quarters of an acre and is surrounded by fruit trees and wildflowers.
The home offers 371sq m of living space on two levels adorned throughout with arched doorways, exposed beam ceilings and wide-plank oak floors.
A spacious foyer steps down into a fireside living room with large picture windows and French doors spilling out to a pergola.
The main level of the property includes a family room that connects to the gourmet kitchen with an island bench, marble countertops, mustard-hued cabinetry and high-end appliances, including a pricey La Cornue oven and stove.
There’s also an adjoining breakfast nook while the den has French doors flowing out to a covered alfresco dining area with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.
The flat, grassy grounds boast a pool and spa, koi pond, professionally-designed gardens and terraced hillside with seating area, plus a guesthouse and two-car garage.
Helberg and his wife recently purchased an US$8.4 million mansion in Pasadena.
