A property sweet tooths will love has hit the market in regional Western Australia, showcasing what’s possibly the largest lollipop in the world.
Standing 7.4m tall and 4m wide at the Yummylicious Candy Shack, the giant lollipop is a popular tourist attraction in Ravensthorpe, located 541 km south east of Perth.
Both the business and the converted house and sheds, on 1012sq m of land, are for sale, including The Party Shack, which hosts parties and events, and the Yummylicious Candy Shack, which sells a range of tasty treats.
Yummylicious Candy Shack owner Belinda McHarg said setting up the giant lollipop had been a dream come true.
“We wanted to create something to help boost tourism in our town, and who wouldn’t love a giant lollipop?” Ms McHarg said.
“It’s big, colourful and just makes people smile.”
Selling agent from LJ Hooker, Robert Miloseski said the giant lollipop brings in hundreds of tourists every year.
“Ravensthorpe is a big thoroughfare from Esperance to Albany,” Mr Miloseski said.
“And since we’ve been marketing the property, things have gone crazy.
“It’s been bringing in a lot more business.”
Mr Miloseski said he’s never come across a property quite as unique as this one, but it’s also been incredibly well received since launching the online campaign.
He said he’s got a few interested buyers, but the buzz has been growing as media attention has been significant.
“Being with the LJ Hooker Group, we’ve got the connections WA-wide and Australia-wide,” he said.
“I’ve had quite a few bites already.”
The well-established business sells all kinds of sweets, chocolates, milkshakes, ice cream, coffee and hotdogs.
The Yummylicious Candy Shack, was voted best attraction in WA in 2020 and has been complemented by the region’s booming tourism, agriculture and mining sectors.
