The region’s top performing agencies and individuals came together last night competing for top honours at the 15th annual Australasian Real Estate Results Awards (ARERAs).
Hosted by industry coaching and training body Real Estate Results Network (RERN), the ARERAs are the independent real estate industry’s major awards of the year.
This year’s ARERAs were more hotly contested than ever, with a huge number of nominations from across Australia and New Zealand received for the distinction of being named among the industry’s most outstanding operators.
“Going back to February last year, there was so much uncertainty for everyone (not just real estate) but real estate as a sector and as an investment class has seen overwhelming support. This was further supported by great agencies reinventing the way they connect and serve clients,” RERN Founder Michael Sheargold said.
ARERA’s winners from 34 award categories were announced at the online event on Monday evening. The event was timed to coincide with the Network’s annual KickStart conference.
A total of 18 agencies were represented amongst the winners, taking out awards for categories that included Agency of the Year, Agent of the Year and Innovation Excellence Agency of the Year, among others.
Mr Sheargold said the 2021 awards had aattracted a huge number of extremely high-quality nominations and that the winning margins were very tight.
“This year, we received an exceptionally high number of nominations in each of the categories, which made the judging process extremely difficult, particularly when you consider all the twists and turns of 2020 from a health and economic point of view,” Mr Sheargold said.
“Our member agencies and their teams really brought their A-games in responding to the challenging conditions of the market, with customers demanding a higher level of service and support than ever before.
“We have seen exceptional results from many of our member agencies over the past 12 months, and the ARERAs was an opportunity to honour those top performers who continue to inspire their peers within the industry.”
Mr Sheargold congratulated all of the winners on their individual achievements in 2020 and said he joined the rest of the network in celebrating their performances.
“The ARERA’s are highly regarded within the industry as peer-nominated awards, and all our winning agents and agencies should be proud of this incredible achievement,” Mr Sheargold said.
Real Estate Results Network (RERN) is a vast network of independent agencies, with more than 1400 principals, agents and property managers who are Members throughout Australia and New Zealand.
