Victorian buyers agent announces tech report card grading system for prestige properties

A property inspection portal has been launched claiming to help future home buyers narrow down their search to almost half the time it would normally take.

The portal is the brainchild of national buyer agency start-up BuyerX, who say they are attempting to transform the home-buying experience by combining local area specialisation smart technology.

The new venture called airopens is underpinned by property investment specialist Performance Property Advisory (PPA).

Describing themselves as a Trip Advisor for a selection of Victorian properties, the portal aims to provide consumers with a list of prestige properties on the market but at the same time offering a candid ‘warts and all’ appraisal on many of them.

BuyerX Corporate General Manager Dustin Cracknell says the aim for buyers is to rapidly isolate the features and characteristics of a home they may or may not like.

“It (the platform) gives consumers struggling to choose between multiple properties an instant checklist against which they can formulate their own private views and objectively compare one property against another.

While airopens currently only lists properties in selected Melbourne markets, the company plans over the next two months to include properties in Sydney and Perth, with Brisbane coming on-stream within six to 12 months.
