Zillow appoints first President in executive shuffle

Former Group Marketing Officer Jeremy Wacksman has been appointed President of Zillow after nine years with the company, making him the first person to hold the title.

Mr Wacksman will oversee the entire Zillow brand, and continue to control the Zillow Group marketing in his role. In addition to this, he’ll be adopting the strategy, product development and engineering teams for Zillow Instant Offers – a recently launched initiative.

The company has also made some other executive moves – former Chief Business Officer Greg Schwartz has been appointed into the role of President of Media and Marketplaces. This will add the company’s Mortgages and Rentals marketplaces to Mr Schwartz’s portfolio.

Arik Prawer, former Chief Business Development Officer, has been appointed President of the Homes division.

The Zillow Group encompasses real estate and rental marketplace Zillow as well as Trulia, StreetEasy, HotPads, Naked Apartments, RealEstate.com and Out East. The changes to its leadership team show Zillow is serious about the Instant Offers brand, and come as the company recently announced it would begin including Canadian listings.
